Kokeilin vihdoin illuusioneulontaa ekaa kertaa.

Näin tuossa taannoin Mammallani tällaisen mukin ja tiedätte, että mun oli pakko saada oma! ;o)

I saw this mug at my Grandma's some time ago and you know I had to have one! ;o)

Novitalla on ollut jo jonkin aikaa myynnissä tämä makoisa virkkuukoukkusetti.
Ja kyllä arvasitte oikein, olihan mun nekin pakko saada! ;oD

Virkkuukoukut ovat kokoa 4, 5, 6, 8 ja 10 mm.




Finnish yarn (etc.) company, Novita has had this sweet hook set available for some time now.
And you guessed it, I had to have them too! ;oD

The hooks are sizes 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm.

Liityin juuri JUJU-kirjakerhoon, joka on kuulemma "innostavien ideoiden kerho". ;o)
Sain jo jokin aika sitten liittymistarjouspakettini, jossa oli valitsemani
kaksi kirjaa ja Nanson käsityökassi ja puikkopussi puikoilla.
Bambupuikkoja oli seuraavasti:
4 suorat neule- (3½, 4, 5 ja 8mm), pyörö- (3½mm) ja sukkapuikot (3mm) ja apupuikko (3mm).

I've just joined a finnish book club which is said to be "club of exhilarating ideas". ;o)
I got awhile ago my joining offer package which included my two chosen books
and a handcrafts bag by Nanso and a needle bag with needles.
These bamboo needles was included:
4 staight (3½, 4, 5 ja 8mm), circular (3½mm) and sock needles (3mm) and a cable needle (3mm).

Novita Kesä 2009 -lehdessä oli toppi, jonka ohjetta käytin siis osittain.

Kolmesta isoäidin kolmiosta tulee yksi bikini kolmio.

Alaosan kehitin itse, mutten ole varma onko se käyttökelpoinen... :o/

Näyttää kyllä ihan kivalta, mutta...

There was a pattern for a top in the Finnish magazine Novita Summer 2009 that I used partially.

One bikini triangle is made of three granny squares.

The bottom I invented on my own and I'm not sure is it usable... :o/

It does look nice but...

Supersankari Iskän Tumput / Super Hero Daddy's Mittens

Mieheni pitää aina mun yksiä vanhoja tumppuja.

Naureskelin asiaa kerran ja sanoin, että jospa tekisin hälle ihka omat upeat tumput.

Hän sanoi, että aika kovat on odotukset upeille tumpuille!

Hän oli hetken hiljaa ja sanoi sitten että ne pitäis tietty olla koko mustat

mut niin et toisessa kämmenessä on Batmanin ja toisessa Teräsmiehen logo.

Kysyin, et miksei kuvat olis kämmenselällä.

Kuulemma siks et vois paljastaa henkilöllisyytensä vain tarvittaessa! ;oD

Joten salaa häneltä päätin toteuttaa tämän toiveen Isänpäiväksi. ;o)

My husband always used a pair of my old mittens.

I laughed at this once and said what if I knit him a pair of his own fabulous mittens.

He said that the expectation for fabulous mittens are high!

He was quiet for awhile and then said that the mittens should be all black

and in the other palm should be a logo of Batman and in the other one Superman.

I asked why not on the back of the hand.

Reputedly because then he could reveal his identity only when needed! ;oD

So secretly from him I decided to make this wish come true for the Father's Day. ;o)

Nyt on puikoilla siisti koti!

Tämä tuli totisesti tarpeeseen...

Pussista on 2 pyöröpuikkoa, suorat neulepuikot ja virkkuukoukku työmatkoilla. ;o)

Puikkopussin koko: 47 x 52 cm, josta reunus vie sentin per sivu.

Taskujen leveydet (noin): 3x 2cm, 4x 3cm, 3x 4cm, 2x 5cm ja 1x 9cm.

Tuo levein taskukoko on vähän niinku varatasku, matalimpaan laitan puikkomitani!

Mittasin taskujen leveydet sukkapuikoista, joita pitäisi mahtua seuraavanlaisesti:

2, 2½, 3, 3½, 4, 4½, 5, 5½, 6, 7, 8, 9 ja 10(-17) mm.

Now the needle have a neat home!

This was really needed...

There are 2 circular needles, 1 straight needles and 1 hook away for business. ;o)

The size of the bag: 47 x 52 cm, from which the border takes 1 cm per side.

The widths of the pockets (approx.): 3x 2cm, 4x 3cm, 3x 4cm, 2x 5cm and 1x 9cm.

The widest pocket size is sort of a backup pocket, to the lowest I'll put my needle gauge!

I measured the width of the pockets from the sock needles so all these should fit:

2, 2½, 3, 3½, 4, 4½, 5, 5½, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10(-17) mm.

Ja kosken vuorittanut sisäosaa tulee taskujen ompeleet näkyviin päällikankaassa.

Kangaspalat:

Paksu ruskea puuvillakangas - 47 x 52 cm

Kukkakangas - 17 x 52 cm

Keltainen sydänkangas - 28 x 52 cm, 17 x 52 cm ja 13 x 52 cm

Vinonauhaa yhteensä 4 m (4x 52cm, (52+47+52+47+2cm=) 2m ja loput sitomisnauhaan).

Kukkakangas löytyi Marimekon löytölaarista, metrin pala kympillä.

Kangas on Maija Isolan "La Botte".

And since I didn't line the inner part the pocket seams are shown on the coating.

The fabric pieces:

Thick brown cottonfabric - 47 x 52 cm

Flower fabric - 17 x 52 cm

Yellow heart fabric - 28 x 52 cm, 17 x 52 cm ja 13 x 52 cm

Bias binding in total 4 m (4x 52cm, (52+47+52+47+2cm=) 2m and the rest to the binding ribbon).

The flower fabric is from a sale bin of Marimekko, 1 m piece for 10 euros.

The fabric is "La Botte" by Maija Isola.

Mietin pitkään ja hartaasti miten kiinnittäisin pyöröpuikkoni...

Pyöröpuikkojen johdot ovat varsin itsepäisiä!

Varsinkin kun puikkokoko kasvaa!

En löytänyt mitään netistä sillä valtaosa pusseista oli tehty vain neule- ja sukkapuikoille...

Yllä oleva kuva näyttää miten päätin ratkaista ongelman.

I thought long and hard how to attach my circular needles...

The cords of the circular needles are quite stubborn!

Especially as the needle size gets bigger!

I couldn't find anything through the internet since mayority of

the bags were just for straight and sock needles...

The photo above shows how I decided to solve the problem.

Langat tähän projektiin olen purkanut aiemmasta työstä, joka floppasi ihan totaalisesti!
En tehnyt mallitilkkua kunnolla, joten neuleesta tuli aivan liian suuri.
En kuukausien neulomisen jälkeen kyennyt enää yrittämään uudelleen.
Nyt päätin purkaa sen ja tehdä siitä jotain hienoa.

Tein siis kunnon mallitilkun, jotta tiedän neuletiheyteni kunnolla.
Ja tiheyteni olikin aivan sama kuin ohjeessa! ;o)

Olin jo ostanut helmiä jne tehdäkseni silmukkamerkkejä mutta vasta nyt tein pari.

February Fitted Pullover (Ravelry, webpage)

The yarn for this project is frogged from an earlier project that totally flopped!

I didn't do a swatch properly so the knit came out all too big.

After knitting it for months I couldn't try to do it again.

Now I decided to frog it and make it to something nice.

So I made a proper swatch to know properly my gauge.

And my gauge was exactly the same as in the pattern! ;o)

I had already bought beads and stuff to make stitch marker but only now I made couple.

One is portrayed in the last photo.

Kesäkassi / Summer Bag

Olin hyvän kesäkassin tarpeessa.

Sisus on mustaa ja seinämissä on pikku taskuja.

Kassin voi sulkea vetoketjulla.

I was in a need for a good summer bag.

The interior is black and there is little pockets on them.

The bag can be closed with a zipper.

Kirjapaino / Book Weight

Inspiroiduin taas Team Knit'in blogista (nyk. Knitted Bliss), jossa esiteltiin vastaavanlainen kirjapaino.

Omani on tehty 10x25-senttisestä kankaanpalasta. Täytteenä käytin kuivattuja herneitä.

Muita harkittavia täytteitä ovat mm. popcorn-jyvät ja hiekka.

Tein näitä oikeastaan kolme. Äiti ja Anoppi saivat ne kaksi muuta.

Again I got inspired by Team Knit's blog (now Knitted Bliss) where I saw a book weight.

Mine has been done from a 10x25cm piece of fabric. I used dried pees as a filling.

Other considerable fillings are popcorn grains and sand to name two.

I actually made three of these. My Mom and Mother-in-law got the other two.

Esiintymisasu / Costume

Me esitettiin työpaikan Pikkujouluissa jonkin sortin musikaali.

Olin yksi kuoron laululinnuista, meillä oli kaikilla oma väri: keltainen, oranssi, vihreä ja punainen.

Ostin mustan topin, ompelin vain kultaista helminauhaa (Tiimarista) siihen.

Ompelin hameen mustasta resorista (valmiiksi putkiloa), keltaisesta kankaasta ja tyllistä.

Lisäsin lisää helminauhaa peittääkseni saumaa.

Ja ompelin vyön ja lisäsin vähäsen kangasta kenkiin.

Korvakorutkin luonnollisesti ostin...

We performed a some sort of a musical in my work places pre-X-mas party.

I was one of the choir's songbirds, we all had our own colour: yellow, orange, green and red.

I bought the black top, just sew the golden bead strings to it.

I sew the dress from a black welt (that was already a tube) and yellow fabric and tulle.

I added more of that bead string to hide the seam.

And I sew the belt and added little bit of the fabric to the shoes.

The earrings I also naturally bought...
